Sue is doing better with new Dr's

First, thanks to EVERYONE for the comments here, emails and calls. It really helps to have your love, support and prayers.

Susan is at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, which is a Texas university Hospital. We are all so impressed (me via all the info I have received!!)

It was a tough day yesterday. So here is where my little sister is at:

SHe arrived at the hospital, was admitted into the ICU unit. She will be there 5-8 days. They did two CT scans one of her head and another of her chest. WHen she arrived her blood platelets (hemoglobin) were so low she was in very real danger of having a stroke, her sodium level was at dangerously low levels and she could have had seizures, her adrenal level was way down. So, she is on cortizone for the adrenal issue, the CT scan showed no stroke, and they told her she as aggressive inflammatory breast cancer, which while it sounds horrible, chemotherapy works very well against it. They want to start her on chemo immediately when her vitals are back to normal. For her low blood/sodium, she is on an IV and she received 2 pints of blood (YES, a blood transfusion!!) which took place today from like 9-3pm.

She and Ray love the oncologist who has been seeing them as well as the team of Dr's. They have a very excellent program and so Sue and Ray have switched to this hospital as her other Dr's haven't even seen her yet, and hadn't even done a blood test or ordered a bone scan. We are of course while being saddened by this down turn, at the same time we feel like she is "exactly where God wants her to be"!! (Thanks Katie Schneider for that email!! )

Anyway, she could not get the bone scan today because of the blood transfusions, so she will have that tomorrow. We are STILL WAITING for the other tests the other Dr ordered, the PET scan and the cardio...but the new Dr's have asked for the results and we should have them tomorrow.....Ray's family came to the hospital today to see Sue and visit and give their support. My mom was at the hospital with Ray all day and Sue's boss Eric (and really really good friend) came today also. So Sue has alot of support, in TX and here!! Thanks again!

SHe is in a much better place with much better care so we are hopeful. Sue is hopeful and feels better so we all do! Pray for these Dr's and that the test results come back. Thanks again!!

Love to Everyone!! Kaylee & Everyone!
